Yes. Honour system. Everyone in the room showed up for the same reason, which is exactly the point.
No. Every night is curated for its city and its crowd, and most rooms run 28 to 40. Always strictly 18+, with ID on the door.
It depends on the night, and each event’s announcement lists everything before you pay. Always a proper venue, always hosts on the floor. Never a bare room and a cash bar.
Most people walk in on their own — that’s the normal way to do this, not the brave exception. Tell a host at the door that you came solo and they’ll take it from there, because making introductions is literally their job. The awkward bit lasts about ninety seconds.
Absolutely. Tickets are per person, so everyone grabs their own spot. Single, decent friends are the best kind of plus-one.
Then don’t. There’s always a proper non-alcoholic option — not warm lemonade and a shrug — and nobody is counting what’s in your glass. Plenty of people turn up sober and leave with the better stories.

It’s Australia — it happens, and in Perth it happens a lot. Say hello, or don’t; nobody owes anyone an acknowledgement. If it makes the night feel awkward, tell a host and they’ll keep the two of you at opposite ends of the room. Everyone there turned up for the same reason you did, which is usually the great leveller.
Then you leave. No explaining, no goodbye lap, no host talking you into one more drink. Grab your coat and go — or tell a host on the way out and they’ll help you sort a ride home.
