Why Hey Honey exists

Modern dating turned people into thumbnails.

Swiping made meeting feel like admin, and somewhere in the scroll women were told to shrink — to wait, to wonder, to settle. Hey Honey is the pushback.

We're here to hand women the two things the apps never will: confidence in themselves, and a straight answer about how men actually operate. No games, no code-cracking, no settling.

When you understand the room, you own it.

Three rules. One room.

The story so far

From an itch to an empire.

  1. 2025

    The itch.

Kayne's feeds fill with the same DM, over and over: modern dating is broken, and nobody is telling women the truth about it.

  2. May 2026

    Hey Honey is born.

One umbrella brand for connection, confidence and self-worth — bigger than any single night out. The wordmark lands, the plan takes shape.

  3. June 2026

    The first room.

Hey Honey Social opens in Perth. Female tickets are 90% gone almost immediately — proof the itch was real.

  4. July 2026

    It becomes an ecosystem.

The Playbook, Clarity Calls and merch Drop 01 — shot in-house, printed in small runs.

  5. August 2026

    heyhoney.au

The whole empire under one roof. You're looking at it.

  6. Next

    More rooms, more reach.

Brisbane in motion, then the map. Courses, community — and You're Worthy, our giveback for women starting over.

What we stand for

Choose yourself first.

Confidence isn't a tactic, it's the baseline. Everything we make starts there.

Real rooms beat algorithms.

Chemistry doesn't happen in an inbox. We build places where people actually meet.

Say it straight.

Straight answers about how people operate — no games, no riddles, no fine print.

Everyone leaves taller.

Whatever happens in the room, you walk out with more than you walked in with.

Lift as you climb.

You're Worthy is our promise to give back to women starting over. The bigger this gets, the more it gives.

Kayne Buik, founder of Hey Honey

The bloke behind the honey

Kayne Buik

Kayne built an audience by saying the quiet parts of dating culture out loud. The DMs kept asking the same thing: "why do men do this?" So instead of another hot take, he built Hey Honey — a brand that gives women straight answers and better rooms.

The social nights came first because connection had to start where it actually happens: in person. The calls, the book and the merch grew out of those rooms — and the plan only gets bigger from here.

You don't need another app. You need the whole story, and a room full of people who showed up for the same reason.
